Take action: Once you find a job that looks like the right fit for you take action right away. It’s very easy to get caught up in “search mode”, where you just look and look and look. While this can be entertaining it’s not going to help you in the long run.

1. Review the entire job posting: You want to make sure you fully understand the job that you are looking at. If you are going to take the time to pursue this opportunity you want to make sure it’s the right opportunity for you. This is also a great way to find out if you are qualified. There is a balancing act in finding out if you are even qualified for the position.
2. Call or email: There are a lot of job postings online and sometimes (unfortunately) they aren’t current or have been filled. A quick call or email are great ways to make sure you aren’t wasting your time and show that you are interested in the job opportunity.
